During internal improvement works at the station, an alternative pedestrian access point to platform was required temporarily.

The principal contractor chose our modular system for its ability to be quickly installed and removed, even in adverse weather conditions. Furthermore, the ramp fully complied with Parts M and K of the Building Regulations.

We conducted a RapidScan of the area, capturing all visible features, including the station and all variations in ground levels. Our design team then overlaid a 3D visual of the ramp onto the RapidScan model, designing around any obstacles.

As this is an internal process, during a project meeting with the client, the ramp model could be adjusted in real time on-screen. This ensured that building control approval was secured prior to the system's installation.

The ramp was fitted within 48 hours, meeting the project deadline without any delays. Plus, it was immediately ready for use after completion.

Once the repairs are completed, the ramp will be removed, typically within 24 hours, and the station will be returned to its original state.

The components will be stored in our warehouse, ready to be reused in the client’s other rental projects.

In contrast, concrete or timber ramps are permanent solutions, unsuitable for temporary use. Once removed, they are usually discarded, making them less environmentally friendly and cost-effective.
